The locally agreed syllabus is a statutory
syllabus of Religious Education (RE) prepared under Schedule 31 to
the Education Act 1996 and adopted by the LA under that schedule.
The locally agreed syllabus for RE must be reviewed at least every
five years. If the proposed agreed syllabus was not adopted
Northumberland would not be compliant under Schedule 31 of the
Education Act
